About Us

We are a 501 (c)(3) organization formed to:
1. Rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful, which includes puppy mills and backyard breeders;
2. Inform the public of these situations in order to put a stop to animal abuse and irresponsible breeding;
3. Provide foster homes for these animals;
4. Provide necessary veterinary care;
5. Promote the importance of spaying/neutering and set up a low cost spay/neuter program;
6. To place rescued animals into permanent adoptive homes.

The operation budget comes solely from donations and adoption fees. Often the adoption fees alone do not cover the cost of care for an animal.

Animals are available for adoption during store hours at:
PetSmart in North Olmsted Ohio (26063 Great Northern Plaza, North Olmsted,OH 44070 *440-777-8900)
PETCO in Middleburg Heights Ohio (6859 Pearl Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130 *440-887-1730)

One of the main areas of focus for Lucky Paws volunteers is the maintenance of several "feeding stations" in the flats and other areas of downtown Cleveland. These areas have hisorically been places where individuals dump their unwanted animals. The feeding stations ensure these animals will be able to find food 365 days a year and allow volunteers to help injured and adoptable cats. Feral cats are Spayed/Neutered and then released back to these stations. Lucky Paws is one of the only groups to aknowledge the problem of homeless animals in the flats area and to lend a helping hand.

Lucky Paws wishes to thank the following clinics for all the medical support they provide:
